Where Have You Gone,

America?

A Challenge to Regain Our Great Nation

Where have you gone, America?” is a question that has been begging to be answered. It is a question that needs to be answered. Our survival as a country depends on it.
Since the United States was established in 1776 and with the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution as our foundation, the brilliance of The Founding Fathers made us the most powerful nation in the world.
We never lost a war, we were the beacon of hope for struggling countries, we overcame The Civil War, international terrorism, foreign threats, mutinous threats from within and insidious evil perpetrated upon us by forces from the Soviet Union and Red China to the Arab World in the Middle East.
Through it all, we consistently celebrated booming economies, life, liberty and The American Dream, a flourishing way of life for our citizens, and Goodwill to men.
There was not a nation wealthier, more prestigious, and more respected than America in all the world.
Then, it all disappeared in a blur of recessions, disastrous leadership, liberal influence, the advent of socialism, a breakdown of respect, the erosion of our military and law enforcement, a disrespect for each other and a society that has lost its way.

My Country, My Take:

The Journey of an American Son

My Country, My take” is a riveting memoir of a true American Son, Richard Lira. It is the story of a remarkable man who loved his mom and dad, survived the barrio in East LA, fought his way to the top of his profession as a security consultant to the celebrities, adored his amazing kids and defended his beloved country as a passionate patriot, having served in both the military and law enforcement.
Richard Lira is not shy about his likes and dislikes about the forces that define the land he loves. You may not agree with all his “takes”, but they are as honest as an lowa sunset.
What is unique about this narrative is that it is refreshingly candid, there is nothing conniving or compromising about it. Richard’s thoughts and experiences come forth as a ladle of ice water on a muggy day.
As a result, you will not only be proud of your country, but you will also fall in love with it all over again, from the Founding Fathers to the Constitution, to our rich heritage, to the pride in our police, to the nobility of military experience.
